Running with the Gauntlet Over the Edge

Been having a pretty awesome week and weekend. Lots of hanging out at the Enchantress of Alvarado’s place. The Enchantress, the Slut of the Skies, and Trust Fund Girl all went to Disneyland on Thursday and when I was checking Rebecca Black’s Twitter feed the following day, ze had been at Disneyland the very same day! How cool!!!! They might have unknowingly actually bumped shoulders in passing with an incognito Rebecca Black! Coolness!!!!

Friday afternoon I dropped into Funny Business to pick up this month’s edition of Power Girl (#25). As many of you know, I am a HUGE fan of Power Girl, especially the present writer, Judd Winick, and artist, Sami Basri, though, from the CD Comics Blog, it looks like DC might unfortunately be shifting the writers of Power Girl to work on other comics. If they do, I may end up dropping reading Power Girl in favor of following the amazing work of these two in other comic books. Winick’s writing is just so brilliant, and Basri just nails facial expressions so perfectly, I love it!!!!

From Ninin Ga Shinobuden, v.1, p.32, available at Funny Business on Garey Avenue.

Dungeons and Dragons gaming was on Friday night, too, and we had a great time as usual. We cleared out a dungeon of bad guys and solved a puzzle to get out of the dungeon, too. And now we’ve got a river rafting trip planned for the next time we meet! We’re going to go down a river from the town we’re at high in the mountains, and gonna to take the river all the way to a forest where the centaurs live. There are a bunch of specific adventures we’ve heard about in the town, that may await us in that particular forest.

Saturday was a tea making day for me for the coming week. I finished late Saturday night. Church is today with lots of side church things to do, too. Living it up in the expanse of infinite potentialities. Behold the sea of glass round about.

See ya ‘round Pomona!
