You Can Stick a Fork In It and It’s Done

The thriving metropolis of Pomona roars forward as the economic powerhouse of the nation. Hanging out at Funny Business tonight, we talked of how since some of the banks are now beginning to charge for using some of their cards, you can naturally see where this is going — a cash economy! Next stop, exchangeless economy!

Vacant house, just move in. I’ll drop in to Funny Business, put in my order for comics, and then I’ll pick them up for free! You’ll go to work, and work for nothing but the pure joy of engaging in whatever you love.

‘Stick a fork in it and it’s done’ – that’s what Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke told the U.S. Congress this week that the economy “is close to faltering.” Actually folks, we’ve been on the verge for a while. It’s really just a matter of the wind picking up even more now as they try to stablize the house of cards. Well, the potroast is done and it’s time to take it out of the oven and say, ‘Well, that was a nice cooking adventure, now let’s enjoy consuming it — and on to something new!’

As well, across the nation, foreclosure rates continue to climb with “first-time default notices served on 78,000 homes in August, a 33 percent increase from July.”

And I think we all know that they can only bail the banks out for so long before a general failure in trusting in the dollar occurs, and folks, that day already arrived. It’s all an illusion now, though with which many continue to play. That money is so lucidly valueless, it makes the entire thing seem even more satirical.

But friends, in Pomona, all is well. The Enchantress of Alvarado continues to fix up hir house on all the money ze got back from tax returns, the web design gigs continue to come in for me, I know people living rent free right now doing work-rent exchanges here in Pomona. One of the butchers at Staters walks by my house on hir way to work each day, and Joey at Funny Business helps to keep the lights on for us all (a modern-age candlestick maker of sorts).

And finally the portal station opened as the Vive Tequila Lounge. It may not look like a portal/teleport station on the outside, but once you go inside and enjoy a few drinks, you will surely be transported!

Pomona rocks!!!!
